Gender and Sexuality Resource Center

This year's Giving Day will directly support two initiatives at the GSRC.  Your donation will support:

1) Expanding Retention Initiatives for Women of Color at NIU: including professional development, engagement, empowerment, and leadership development.  Funding will support the annual Cultural Sisterhood Summit, and ongoing Sister Circles amongst other opportunities

2) Development and implementation of LGBTQ+ Summer Bridge initiatives.  This program will be offered to incoming LGBTQ+ NIU students to provide support, connections, and resources to navigate campus.

At the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, we’re your home away from home—inclusive of gender and sexual identities. We’re committed to helping students find the resources and support to complete their degree at NIU and to cultivating an inclusive and supportive campus community. We celebrate all identities and intersections and collaborate with the Asian American Resource Center, Center for Black Studies, Latino Resource Center, and the Office of Undocumented Student Support.

NIU's GSRC is one of the colleges and universities internationally whose services include a professionally-staffed campus resource center addressing needs related to sexual orientation and diverse and underrepresented gender identities (inclusive of women, transgender and non-binary individuals).
