Huskies United for the College of Health and Human Sciences
We are CHHS.
The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) transforms students’ lives through active, engaged learning and hands-on research with a world-class faculty. Our students participate in clinicals, practicums and field experiences that combine classroom and real-world experiences.
Huskies United changes lives at NIU and beyond.
Your support is an investment in the people and potential of NIU. When you help any of our programs, you are also contributing to the health and happiness of the individuals our alumni serve. Your gift helps tomorrow’s audiologists, physical therapists, public health workers, speech-language pathologists, medical laboratory scientists, nurses, dieticians, early childhood educators, marriage and family therapists, and other health and human sciences leaders.
Unleash the potential.
To maximize your Huskies United contribution, we have college-wide challenges to help increase the impact of your gift. Can you help us unleash the following CHHS Huskies United Challenges that will unlock additional donations?
CHHS Dean's Challenge:
- CHHS Dean Kelly Fiala and Dr. Laura Marinaro want to see strong support from our CHHS team! When 30 gifts of any amount, to any CHHS program or fund, are received from CHHS faculty or staff, they will contribute $2,000 to the Interprofessional Education Fund.
- Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Sherrill Morris and Brian Brim are ready to help CHHS supporters double their impact. Every gift of $25 or more to CHHS-affiliated programs will unlock an additional $25 per donation for the college, up to $500.
CHHS Advisory Board Challenges:
- We are excited to announce a generous $500 Challenge Gift from our advisory board member, Daniel Pesut. Daniel is passionate about supporting School of Nursing students and is inviting others to join him. He will contribute $500 once we raise $500 in gifts for the School of Nursing. Let’s make it happen together!
- CHHS Advisory Board member and alum Linda Deering Dean wants to see further investments in the School of Nursing. When 10 gifts to nursing are received, it will unlock an additional gift of $2,000.
- CHHS Advisory Board member Rosemary Gullikson is contributing $500 as part of a pooled resource challenge to purchase supplies for School of Nursing students. But here’s the catch, her gift will be unlocked only when we reach $1,000 in support!
CHHS Achievement Challenge:
- An anonymous donor has pledged $6,000 to support our School of Nursing students but there’s a challenge! Their generous gift will only be unlocked once we raise $2,000 in support.
Join the CHHS leadership team, advisory board and all donors in support of College of Health and Human Sciences students today. We are CHHS! Go Huskies!
