NIU Study Abroad

The Study Abroad Office facilitates international education experiences for international study, research, and professional internships that are student-centered, academically challenging, professionally relevant and personally engaging.

Through your support of the Day of Giving, you are helping to unleash the next generation of interculturally competent Huskies. You are helping students to:

  • Obtain an Art History internship in museum curation in London.
  • Participate in a Biological Science field study to examine the facial expressions of Howler monkeys in Argentina to rehabilitate them into the wild.
  • Immerse themselves in the famed Russian theatrical traditions of Konstantin Stanislavsky at the Moscow Art Theatre School.
  • Expose themselves to cultural differences, issues, trends, and practices in Marketing within the international environment.
  • Pursue their Foreign Service Career aspirations through the Boren NSEP internship with the West African Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) in Dakar, Senegal.

And Much More!

By making a gift to support Study Abroad you are supporting students to pursue educational opportunities outside of the United States that foster critical thought, intellectual and social growth, knowledge and experiences for professional success, and responsible global citizenship.
