Scholarship support for students remains the law school’s top fundraising priority. We encourage you to support one of the following areas that we consider important sources of funds. Your gift will provide much needed financial assistance to the next generation of lawyers!
The College of Law Strategic Priorities Fund goes to the highest priority and allows the College of Law to quickly identify and address the needs of potential and current students, including student scholarships.
The Francis X. Riley Memorial Scholarship honors an exceptional and dedicated teacher as well as a mentor to many in the early classes. No person played a bigger role in the early years of Lewis College of Law, and this scholarship will be an important source of funds to address students’ financial needs.
Few people have impacted the College of Law like Professor Emeritus Daniel S. Reynolds. He was a deeply loved faculty member and was voted Professor of the Year six times by the classes of 1989, 1991, 1997, 2003, 2008 and 2013. At Dan’s request, and in his memory, the College of Law has established the Daniel S. Reynolds Scholarship Fund.
Because today is the NIU Day of Giving, your gift will also be part of several challenges from the NIU Law Alumni Council and others who are encouraging their fellow alums to support any of these programs. Your gift could make all the difference in meeting this challenge!
