Crossing Boundaries, Transforming Lives

The Northern Illinois University College of Business approach to transformative innovation is through collaboration that crosses boundaries - disciplinary, cultural, age, time, distance, role, organizational and socioeconomic. Our approach will catapult breakthrough ideas and people into extraordinary business success stories.

Your support of the NIU College of Business provides the resources and mechanisms that actively foster boundary crossing collaboration among all stakeholders. This approach is a central component of how the college creates knowledge; transforms business; develops principled, adaptable global citizens and creates innovative active learning and personalized experiences.

The generosity of our donors helps continue a long legacy that defines the Huskie spirit enabling students with humble beginnings to be well prepared and launch careers that cross boundaries. Many of our students come from modest backgrounds and cross the boundary of being the first in their families to attend college.  Experiences in the College of Business are crafted deliberately and allow students to cross the boundary of theory and practice. The opportunities to cross disciplinary boundaries are many and our graduates create distinctive experiences by combining their knowledge base from various areas.

With your support, the NIU College of Business seeks to be at the forefront of innovative business education and a catalyst for business innovation in the region. By engaging all stakeholders, the college offers innovative personalized experiences for students and faculty, in-demand programs and business services aimed at developing creative, entrepreneurial mindsets and ideas that propel business success.

Your contribution is an investment in our students’ success.  We are thankful for your generosity and support of our funding priorities.
